This Privacy Policy explains how LawBandit Lab (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use our websites, LawBandit Manual, LawBandit Notes, and related services (collectively, the “Service”). By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

1. Information We Collect

We collect the following types of information:

  • Account information: name, email address, and password (or Google account identifier) when you sign up via Supabase Auth.
  • Payment information: billing details processed by Stripe when you purchase an individual license or enterprise subscription. We do not store full payment card numbers on our servers.
  • Usage information: pages viewed, features used, and interactions with the Manual and other content.
  • Enterprise & grant information: seat membership, invitations, and access grant status associated with your account.
  • Communications: information you provide when you contact us, including through our lead and onboarding tools.

2. How We Use Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Create and manage your account and authenticate your sign-in.
  • Process payments, subscriptions, and access grants through Stripe.
  • Provide, maintain, and improve the Service, including the Manual and Notes.
  • Communicate with you about your account, purchases, and updates to the Service.
  • Detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, and security issues.
  • Comply with legal obligations.

3. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with service providers who help us operate the Service, including:

  • Supabase for authentication and database hosting.
  • Stripe for payment processing and subscription billing.
  • Google for optional sign-in via Google OAuth.
  • Other service providers used for communications and onboarding, who process information solely on our behalf.

We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect our rights, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.

4. Cookies & Similar Technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember your preferences, and understand how the Service is used. You can control cookies through your browser settings, though disabling them may affect the functionality of the Service.

5. Data Retention

We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service, comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. You may request deletion of your account and associated data, subject to any records we are legally required to keep.

6. Data Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Your Rights & Choices

8. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed to individuals under the age of 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

9. International Users

Our Service is operated from the United States. If you access the Service from outside the United States, your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States or other countries where our service providers operate.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date above. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
